May you live in interesting times

There is a Chinese curse that says “may you live in interesting times”.

Well these times are very interesting to say the least. There are moments I wish I had a time machine so I could go back and tell Eric Arthur Blair he got the date wrong. Oh..? Who is Eric Arthur Blair ? Those of you who are of a literary mind would know him by his pen name of George Orwell and his book 1984. He is also the source of the cultural phrase “Orwellian” based upon the events in his book 1984, except I would tell him name it 2009.

Keeping it simple when I was in Jr high it was required reading where I grew up. Many of the events happening in our country today parallel this book. Somewhere along the line we as a country have become the very thing we feared and now the forces ( whatever you want to call them) are finishing off the job. For those of you who still cling to the old paradigm of Democrat vs Republican, liberal vs conservative wake up and smell the coffee they used ideology to divide us. It doesn’t matter who’s in office, we’re being fornicated hard and deep with no reach around, a kiss or a “I love you”.

We are a capitalist society, if you invent a better mouse trap then you should reap the rewards. America was built by individuals like yourself who work hard to build a business or Master your craft and provide for your families. It was NOT built on the promise of the government will take care of you from cradle to the grave by taxing the crap out of your business, the middle class, and feeding us endless propaganda.

Thomas Jefferson saw it coming when he said:

We must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt. We must make our election between economy and liberty or profusion and servitude. If we run into such debt, as that we must be taxed in our meat and in our drink, in our necessaries and our comforts, in our labors and our amusements, for our calling and our creeds…[we will] have no time to think, no means of calling our miss-managers to account but be glad to obtain subsistence by hiring ourselves to rivet their chains on the necks of our fellow-sufferers… And this is the tendency of all human governments. A departure from principle in one instance becomes a precedent for[ another]… till the bulk of society is reduced to be mere automatons of misery… And the fore-horse of this frightful team is public debt. Taxation follows that, and in its train wretchedness and oppression.

Dreams is undergoing a change as I’m getting more and more picky about who I hire. Why ? Because it is my vision that we become more than just an escort service. Every great hero had his or her place to turn to when it all became too much or when they need to recharge. Batman had the bat cave, Superman had his fortress of solitude, even Mahatma Gandhi had his Satyagraha Ashram. You ladies and gentlemen have Dreams Escorts. Granted there are going to be days when we miss the mark and many of you business owners will sympathize as your own organizations have done so. However it’s not the end of the world, you pick up, you learn from it and you strive to do better. My vision is to become for may of you, the place you turn to when it all becomes too much. A moment in time you step into with us and just “stop” so you can figure out what to do. I can’t guarantee all of our associates have the ability to stop the noise in your head allowing you to think brilliantly, however we’re going to make it our mission.

All you need to do is give me a call and share what’s going on and we’ll see what we can do.

You don’t need me to tell you it’s getting tough out there, however I will remind you one of the variables in the formula of success is the allies you choose to make. Business and life are about many things, one of which is “the on going relationships you make and who has got your back“.

Your thoughts Gentlemen and Ladies ?

Life is a road so be good to your follow travelers and walk in peace ladies and gentlemen.
