With the dollar on the decline against other world currencies and our government printing more money it’s no wonder why we’re all paying more for fuel these days. In reality the cost of fuel hasn’t gone up, what has happened is the value of the dollar has actually declined precipitously. Those of you who have trucks and SUV’s for business certainly know the impact and I feel you. Of course the group who I really have sympathy for is our truckers. The Government is there to bail out a failed brokerage house (Bear Stearns) but it seems our elected representatives have forgotten that trucking is a strategic industry in this country. These hard working men and women are trying to feed their families just like anyone else and it’s getting nearly impossible for them. Have you seen the price of diesel fuel lately ?

If America’s truckers decide to go on strike that’s going to be a really big ouch for us all and frankly I wouldn’t blame them. The current administration is johnny on the spot for their corporate and oil cronies but it seems Mr John Q Public is being taken for granted as usual. Well, a shout out our countrymen who keep the goods moving in America, some of us are not blind to your pain. Oh and if you guys do decide to strike would one of you from the Teamsters Union drop me an e-mail let me know so I can stock up.
