Well it really sucks being a conservative Republican and card carrying member of the Moral right these days it would seem ?
I have nothing against Republicans nor do I hold anything against Democrats either. As far as I’m concerned you’re all a bunch lying two faced thieves anyway ! *laugh*
In the last 4 months the Grand Old Party has had it’s collective knickers yanked up so hard it may take longer than the 2008 elections to work it back down out of their collective butt cracks. It has not been a good summer for the GOP in the battle for the Moral high ground in the face of the public.
Robert W Allen – Arrested for soliciting prostitution from an undercover police officer posing as a transvestite in a Titusville, Fla. public park.
Thomas Ravenel – Former South Carolina State Treasurer agreed to plead guilty Friday to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute a quantity of cocaine.
Senator David Vitter - The disclosure that his phone number was among those on a list of client numbers kept by Deborah Jeane Palfrey.
Senator Larry E. Craig of Idaho pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct after an undercover police officer accused him of soliciting sex in June in a Minneapolis airport restroom.
Let me ask you a question and lets be honest here after all were all guys… well most of us are…

Look here it is straight up, I don’t care what they do to get their cookies off all I care about is, are they doing their job in the management of our country !!?

Have you noticed our elected leaders are spending more time in the public image business than getting down to “the business” of running America ? Maybe as a culture if we were not so hypocritical the above people (except for one) would get their needs met and not have to sneak around. Here is what I perceive as a basic truth:
Anytime you live a lie you’re creating the circumstance to manifest a negative outcome. The greater the lie the greater the chances it’s going to blow up in your face. Now I’m not talking about the little white lies we all have which save people feelings, keep the peace etc… I’m talking about the kind that if they get out it can ruin a career.
Maybe it’s time we collectively decided to let our politician’s be human beings and stop holding them to this ridiculous standard which no one can meet. As a rule Europeans are often amused by our infantile moral standards when it comes to sex and politics. They know from history as long as you have money and power centered in one place you’re going to have sex.
It is as it is, be one with it.
Perhaps then our elected officials will spend more time, energy and effort being legislators and less time maintaining the lies of their public facades.
