Let me begin to answer your question by using a metaphor.
A man walks by a pool and stops to look at a swimmer. The swimmer says come on in the waters fine. The spectator says are you mad?! I would never consider swimming in a pool on a 45 degree day such as this and walks off. The swimmer shrugs and says to himself, I wouldn’t either unless it was a heated pool such as this.

Let me clue you in on a hidden reality of this pool. Many of these so-called elite don’t choose an agency solely on price. Often the decision is based on the human rule of ‘their comfort zone‘. You have no idea how many clients worth millions, love to slum it. Either because it’s where they came from (you can take the boy out of the trailer park and often you never get all the trailer park out of the boy) and subconsciously where they are most comfortable; or it is a case of they want to feel superior to someone.
The next problem many long-term agency owners at a certain level either know or find out the hard way, Millionaire clients are a pain in the ass. Catering to the affluent and Capital Hill is fraught with perils which will cause you to go bald.
As for the insider, referral only, exclusive private mens club provider, they are a small circle. Just because you have a respectable net-worth or become an elected congressman/woman doesn’t mean they will automatically invite you in. These are the people who regard the President as a “temporary occupant of the White House“. These power circles have out lived countless changes of the guard.
Funny thing about paradigms, they are only as good as the information you have. Change your experience and place of observation and sometimes, you change the world as you see it.
Oh and for you absolute thinkers…. no I was not speaking in a complete absolutes.
